Rental Application Requirements

1. Processing Fee

   • Each application is subject to a non-refundable processing fee of RM 200.00,

   • payable to Railway Assets Corporation (RAC).

2. Application Scope

   • One (1) Rental Application Form is applicable for one (1) rental location only.

3. Mandatory Application Details

Applicants must provide the following information:

   • KM Pole Reference (e.g., Between KM 74.5 – KM 75.5)

   • Land Area / Site Size

   • Purpose of Rental

4. Required Supporting Documents

The application must include:

   • Sketch Map indicating the exact location of the proposed site

   • Three (3) Site Photographs (from different angles)

   • Copy of Applicant’s Identity Card (IC)

   • Copy of Company Registration Certificate (SSM) (if applicable)

5. Site Eligibility Criteria

   • For sites within active railway alignments, applications will only be considered if the location is more than 40 feet (12 metres) from the railway track.

6. Permitted Uses

   a. Agriculture

       • Cash crops only are permitted

       • Examples: Corn, sugarcane, bananas, vegetables, limes

   b. Commercial Activities

       Examples include:

       • Restaurants / Food & Beverage outlets

       • Grocery stores

       • General businesses

       • Car-related workshops (subject to location suitability)

       • Hardware stores

       • Parking areas

7. Building Requirements

   • Only semi-permanent structures are allowed

   • Subject to Planning Permission approval by the Local Authority (PBT)

8. Prohibited Uses

   a. Not Allowed on All RAC Railway Land

       • Residential use

       • Houses of worship (e.g., surau, temple, church)

   b. Not Allowed Within Active Railway Operation Areas

       • Permanent crops (e.g., oil palm, rubber)

       • Car wash workshops

       • Livestock farming activities

9. Submission of Application

   • All applications together with supporting documents must be submitted to:
